Tutoring and Well-Being
About me
I am a qualified teacher with 20 years experience in both primary and secondary education. I have taught from reception up to year 13 as a class teacher, as well as an intervention teacher for primary school pupils of all abilities.
I believe that mental health and well-being is as important to a child as their learning. I am a level 3 qualified mentor and have worked as a mentor in schools for several years.
What do I offer?
Tutoring
I tutor in English and maths in KS2 and follow the national curriculum.
I have taught year 6 SATS preparation and am able to support in developing SATS confidence in children.
I also offer 11+ preparation tuition.

I cover all aspects of English, from reading, spelling, punctuation and grammar, to writing in a variety of genres to cover the National Curriculum.
Maths
I cover all aspects of the KS2 maths curriculum and help develop maths skills to ensure maths confidence and enjoyment.

I cover the different elements within the 11+ test and will focus on exam technique alongside subject knowledge and practice tests.
Well-Being
As a qualified mentor, I can provide mindfulness and well-being sessions and activities tailored to your child to support them through difficulties they may be facing.
These are focused sessions to help children deal with issues such as anxiety or anger, and to provide them with coping strategies that they can use in everyday life.
A six-week course of one to one or small group well-being sessions are available.
Home Education Tuition
One to one and small group tuition sessions are available during school hours for home educated children. These include maths and English lessons as well as cross-curricular themed lessons.
